For the weekend - Louisville theatre shows and auditions (Jan. 27 edition)

It's funny how girls named Heather, facing punishment for crimes, looked into a circle mirror, and transformed into Cyrano de Bergerace, John Lennon, and Me. That was just their first act in their festival.

Welcome to the weekend with shows in the Louisville theatre scene! No less than seven shows opening in and around Louisville this weekend. All levels of theatre, as well, from the regional to children's to high school to community to everything in between. Check the shows out below!

Don't forget about the shows currently going on, especially since three of them close this weekend!

Also, get involved in the Louisville theatre scene by utilizing one of the auditions below. Smoked Apple Theater Group has one this weekend, and season auditions have been posted for Centerstage.

For the weekend - Louisville shows and auditions (Jan., Friday the 13th edition)

The Louisville theatre scene says "Happy New Year" in its own way this weekend as no less than seven shows are slated to take place. A great variety of shows, too, with comedy, classics, musicals, drama, Spanish, and some improv thrown in as well. All of it going on in several different places in the Louisville area, meaning more than likely, there's a show near you. Check them out this weekend.

Also, it's time to get new actors for new shows. How is that done, you ask? Well, just your luck, there are auditions! (I couldn't resist a cheesy Friday the 13th joke in there somewhere.
