For the weekend - Louisville shows and auditions (Oct. 30 edition)

Perfect for the Halloween season are a bunch of Louisville theatre shows with the scary or mystery theme in mind. Derby Dinner, Alley Theater, Whodunnit, and Actors Theatre have either ghoulish frights or mysteries to solve this weekend. Check out those shows below.

For those looking to avoid Halloween, take in a roast with The Bard's Town or a classic musical with Centerstage. Tickets, last I heard, have been selling pretty well for both so get them while you can!

Finally, check out the auditions below. A couple of new ones have been posted, including one that will take place within the next week. Check them out, and get on the stage!

Enjoy!

For the weekend - Louisville shows and auditions (Oct. 23 edition)

October has certainly been an interesting month for theatre. Excellent shows going on, theatre companies in general getting their shows in before Halloween, transitions personally and professionally for me, and much more.

Among the transitions is me going away from Louisville.com. Unfortunately, there were changes behind the scenes, and I am out of there as of the end of the month. However, I am now writing reviews with arts-louisville.com, including for some up-and-coming shows. Check them out when you get a chance! (Don't worry, I'm still going to be updating this blog on a weekly basis!)

In the meantime, check out the lone show opening this weekend in Louisville, Centerstage's Oliver!, a "twist" on the Charles Dickens classic.

Don't forget to check out the ongoing shows as well, which are from theatres as wide-ranging as Actors Theatre to Alley Theater to Derby Dinner and back.

Finally, while theatre aren't any auditions until after Halloween, there will be one from Little Colonel Playhouse coming up sooner than you think. Check it out when you get a chance.

Enjoy!
