For the weekend - Louisville shows and auditions (Apr. 29 edition)

(If you're looking for the summer drama camps, scroll down a few entries. They're here!)

Even as we head into Derby, there are shows to be seen in the Louisville area, including one, appropriately, about a jockey (taking place at the Henry Clay Theatre). Also, go a little north of Louisville to see a classic production in Jackson County. Check them out!

Also in Indiana, Hayswood and Derby Dinner are currently open with their own entertaining productions. See them before they end their runs (this weekend for Hayswood.)

Enjoy!

Summer Camps and Workshops!

When the kids are out of school, what are they going to do? Have fun! Kids (and even adults) can have fun with a variety of acting summer camps. Thankfully, this being the Louisville theatre scene, there are plenty from which to choose.

Click on the theatre company links below for acting classes, workshops, and special productions that will take place this summer. Also, if your group has an acting-related summer camp coming up, let me know at loubriantheater@gmail.com. Any specific questions about the summer camps can be directed at the theatre groups themselves.  Enjoy!

For the weekend - Louisville shows and auditions (Apr. 8 edition)

Generally speaking, early April is one of the busiest times of the year for the Louisville theatre scene as many community theatres get shows off the ground before the Derby Festival. Meanwhile, Actors Theatre begins winding down its Humana Festival (but not before opening up a ten-minute play festival). This is all a major benefit for the Louisville theatregoer as there are plenty of shows to see, especially this weekend. No fewer than nine shows are taking place somewhere in the Louisville area this weekend. Check them out below.

Meanwhile, there are at least eight shows already taking place in the Louisville theatre scene, although most of them (especially the Humana Festival shows) are set to end this weekend. Go see them before the curtain closes.

Want to get involved in all the wonderful creativity? Audition for a show below. There are at least three coming up in the next few days.
