For the weekend - Louisville shows and auditions (Feb. 5 edition)

This weekend is brought to you by the sound HISS, as in HIStorical dramas and a HISterically funny improv show. Hayswood Theatre looks at the relationship between Helen Keller and her teacher/companian Anne Sullivan in The Miracle Worker. Stage One, meanwhile, educates kids and kids at heart with And Then They Came For Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank. Finally, enjoy some burlesque with your improv in Improva Sutra. Check them out while they're happening.

Also, check out the productions that are already going on from Actors Theatre, Centerstage, Acting Against Cancer (shameless plug: I reviewed AAC's show), and Derby Dinner Playhouse.

Finally, there are plenty of chances to get involved with the Louisville theatre scene this weekend. In the coming days, there are auditions from Alley Theater, Hayswood, and Improv Anonymous. Centerstage's season auditions are right behind them. Behind those are quite a few auditions for theatre groups outside of Jefferson County. Everyone has a chance to do something somewhere.
