For the weekend - Louisville shows and auditions (July 31 edition)

A trio of shows of varying styles open this weekend. From sailing the seas with H.M.S. Pinafore to witnessing The Comedy of Errors to using the force with Star Wars in 60 Minutes or Less, there's something for everyone this weekend. (It should also be noted that all three shows opening this weekend CLOSE this weekend as well.)

For the weekend - Louisville shows and auditions (July 24 edition)

The Bard's Town brings forth Other Desert Cities this weekend, focusing on a girl, seeing her family for the first time in six years, getting ready to put out a memoir that would make public a sensitive issue from the family's past. More information in the link below.

Don't forget about the shows still going on, including two that end this weekend, The Elephant Man and Buster! Both have have positive reviews so far, so check them out before their runs end.

Last, but certainly not least, get involved in theatre by going to one of the auditions listed below. There's one this weekend with Looking for Lilith, then several going on in August.

For the weekend - Louisville shows and auditions (July 17 edition)

This weekend two plays based on historical figures will occur. Stage on Spring presents The Elephant Man, who grew from side-show freak to the toast of London society despite his disfigured body. Meanwhile, the Larry Muhammad-created Buster!, a gospel-musical focusing on the life of civil rights activist Rev. Louis Coleman. Check out both of these shows this weekend.

Don't forget to check out the shows currently going on as well. From what I've heard, there's been a ton of great reviews for all three shows below. 

Finally, check out the auditions, of which there are plenty (including two this weekend) as many theatres begin starting up their 2015-16 theatre seasons.

For the weekend - Louisville shows and auditions (July 10 edition)

Rock n roll takes over some of the area stages this weekend. Get your Elvis fix with All Shook Up at My Old Kentucky Home State Park or be amazed at a pinball wizard in The Who's Tommy at Jewish Community Center of Louisville. There is also a Spanish language-only production through El Delirio Productions this weekend. Check them all out!

Also, don't forget about the shows currently going on, including classic shows and a show based on a classic comic book.
